SeaShorts Film Festival is accepting entries

If you’re a director from the ASEAN region, don’t miss your chance to participate in SeaShorts Film Festival.

Short films under 20 min in all genres are accepted. Your short needs to encompass the theme “Reimagining Short Films, Reinventing Southeast Asia”. Submission deadline – 30 April. Submit via this form.

A selection of 30 titles will be in contention for the SeaShorts Award. Candidates and winners are determined by an independent committee of professional judges. Among the jury are Cambodian-French filmmaker Davy Chou, Philippine producer Bianca Balbuena, Singaporean sound engineer Rennie Gomes, and Malaysian historian Dr. Farish A. Noor.

SeaShorts shines a spotlight on the many creative voices who call this land home, encompassing Brunei, East Timor, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The 2019 Festival received more than 2,000 admissions for contemporary takes on the narratives and issues pertinent to this corner of the world.
