LA EigaFest 2014

Japanese culture is one of the most widely known, admired and exported Asian cultures. Societies and fan clubs all around the world organize all kinds of events introducing Japanese film, manga and anime, J-pop and J-rock music, fashion, cosplay or traditional culture, like poetry, martial arts, calligraphy, flower arrangement ikebana and No and Kabuki theater.

Japan Film Society is dedicated to promote Japanese culture in the USA. This time in September 12th to 14th they are organizing something special for all Japanese eiga (movie) lovers. In LA, Egyptian theater they will screen International Premiere of Ryuhei Kitamura’s “Lupin the Third”, live adaptation of classic manga series. Festival will close with a anticipated sequel of “Rurouni Kenshin” – “Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno”. If you like to stroll in film festivals to see some famous faces – Oliver Stone, Ken Watanabe and Masi Oka will be there. To add to the cool – festival is dedicated to Celebrate 60th Anniversary of Godzilla, Hold Special Screening of Godzilla: The Japanese Original (1954).
